I will stamp all over 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
